Bjorli ice hotel is a nice hotel that is open only in the winter months and that is made of snow and ice. It's a really great experience to stay there a night just to have done it. I have not done that just been there on a visit to see how it looks like there.
Bjorli ice hotel is not the biggest of the ice hotels you find here in the North but it's a small and intim hotel that have a great atmosphere there.

So this is absolutely a hotel I recommend you to try.

Winter experiences in Northern Norway

Svalbard it's a nice place if you like to be out in the nature and experience wild nature. I personalty think it's best to be there in the winter/spring since you have more things to do there then like go on trips on snow scooter or whit dogs to like Barensburg or you can also take a boat cruse around Spitsbergen and look at the wild life there like polar bears or seals and many other animals. Longyearbyen is the capital city on Svalbard and it's a nice little town that you can walk around in and find all you need of goods.

The prices on Svalbard is high but since they have to import all things it's no wonder, there is many things to see I recommend a trip to Svalbard museum where you can see the history of Svalbard.

Dag 1.
Vi dro fra Ålesund med kurs for Fredrikstad. Det var kraftig regn og til dels dårlige kjøreforhold fra Ålesund til vi kom inn til Verma. Da begynte det å klarne opp og vi fikk tørre veier. Været ble bare bedre til lenger nedover i landet vi kom, turen gikk greit og det var god flyt i trafikken. Siden vi slapp unna den verste påsketrafikken.

Det er dog en ting som irriterer meg hver gang jeg kjører der og det er anleggsarbeidet rett før du kommer til Gardermoen denne strekkingen har de nå drevet på å utbedre i uendelige tider, og jeg håper de snart blir ferdig siden dette begynner å bli meget slitsomt, med nytt kjøremønster hver gang jeg kjører der.
Utover det så gikk turen greit, vi var fremme i Gressvik rundt kl 21.20 på kvelden.

Dag 2:
Hadde vi en rolig dag og slappet av tok noen små spaser turer rundt på Dypeklo men ikke noe annet enn det.

Dag 3:
Tok vi en tur til Svinesund for å handle litt og slappe av etter at vi hadde vært på svinesund i noen timer og handlet det vi trengte så tok vi en liten tur til Strømstad og kikket oss litt rundt der.
Der etter så begynte vi på veien hjem men først stoppet vi en liten stund på Nordby senteret for å kjøpe inn noen saker som vi hadde glemt å kjøpe på svinesund. Når vi var ferdig med de små innkjøpene så gikk turen hjem, og vi hadde flaks siden det var lite trafikk på veiene og det var god flyt. Vi hadde bra vær helt til vi kom opp til Åndalsnes der begynte det å regne litt og til nærmere Ålesund vi kom til mer regnet det. Fra Åndalsnes til Ørskogfjellet var det til tider meget vanskelige kjøreforhold med dårlig sikt og mørke veier. Jeg fant også ut at jeg trenger nye ekstralys siden de jeg har er ikke gode nok til slike kjøreforhold, og jeg har pr dato i dem 100W halogen pærer. Disse var kjøpt på Biltema og de lyser altfor kort og altfor bredt.

Geiranger is a little place between high mountains and a fjord, there is around 200 people that live there permanently and there population go up to around 7000 in the summer months.

Geiranger is one of the most visited places in More og Romsdal and you have plenty of other destinasions from there like Trollstigen, Trollveggen, or Briksdalsbreen and many other.
There is also a Panoramic Viewpoint whit the name Dalsnibba that is on 1500 meter. Read more about Dalsnibba here

Beside the nice nature Geiranger have to offer, there are not much to do beside have a good time and maybe take a trip in the mountains there we will make a list over that longer down on the page here. And it's a good place to start a trip to a other place around the aria.

I try to visit Geiranger 2 times a year since I live not to far away and I like to spend my weekend there. And use that as a base to travel around and take photos ad videos, of the nature around there.
